NAUNDERO: A dispute over the position of headmistress at Government Girls Main Primary School for the past week is affecting the education of students. According to details, two muster roll registers have been kept by two headmistresses and both of them are insisting to remain posted there. Anwer Khatoon Solangi was transferred from the school and Rani Mangnejo was posted as the new headmistress but Ms Solangi has resisted the move and for last five days is sticking to the position. On the complaints of teachers and students of the school, Ms Solangi was shifted to a school located in Garibabad. The teachers of the school were asked by the Taluka Education Officer (Female) during her visit on Saturday to sign both the muster rolls till the matter is resolved. She set Monday as the deadline but did not turn up. Ms Rani told reporters that biometric of Ms Solangi is also carried out in the school of Garibabad where she has been transferred. However, Ms Solangi claimed that she is still the headmistress of the school and has not handed over the charge to the newly posted HM. District Officer Education, Larkana, Assad Abro told Daily Times that the issue has been resolved.
